Collaborative Programmes :: Entry Qualifications

The following qualifications are offered by recognised Professional Bodies and are accepted as entry qualifications for direct entry to the final year of the BSc (Hons) Computing which is run at approved centres around the world.

IMIS Higher Diploma
NCC International Advanced Diploma
ACP Advanced Diploma (with an average grade of credit across all modules)
Edexcel HND in a Computing or I.T. related subject
ABE Advanced Diploma in Business Information Systems
BCS Diploma

Applicants with qualifications that are considered to be of an equivalent standard and appropriate for entry to the final year of the BSc (Hons) Computing, will be considered. Where the entry qualification was not taught in English, an IELTS score of 6.0 is also required. Applicants should apply directly to the local approved centre and not to the University.

Accreditation by the British Computer Society
Students who study the BSc (Hons) Computing programme on-campus at the University of Greenwich Campus are exempted from British Computer Society Professional Graduate Diploma and Professional Project qualification, subject to studying certain options offered within the programme. This exemption only applies to students who have studied the second and final year of the programme at the University of Greenwich Campus.

Colleges approved to run the final year of the BSc (Hons) Computing programme would need to apply to the BCS separately for accreditation. Students who have studied the programme are recommended to make an individual enquiry about exemption and accreditation to the BCS after completing their studies.
