"You asked me at graduation to e-mail you and let you know what I was up to.
"Well I was lucky enough to get a freelancing job where I mainly worked on the website for Brent Cross shopping centre. With this experience and a lot of learning at home I was fortunate enough to land the job I am in now.
"I am the main programmer here. At the moment I have mainly being doing PHP / ASP / ActionScript. The first major project that I was partly in charge of, was producing a game called nip/tuck for Channel 4, and also developing the invoicing system using OOP PHP. Another part of my role is that I look after 2 linux red hat servers which contain all our clients sites.
"I'm doing a few projects at home involving JSP and Struts. I learnt a lot for my project and felt it a waste if I didn't continue with it, also I am hoping to introduce this into the company - I have mentioned it, and everyone seems very interested.
"Finally I have started on J2ME and am trying to produce a game for the company that's playable on a mobile.
"If I were to give advice to other students I would recommend that apart from knowing what they do, to continue learning in their spare time. This is the approach that I used and if I hadn't I wouldn't be where I am today.
"Thanks for all your help over the years."
